Excellent golf courses exist in Mauritius:

• 18-hole: Belle Mare Plage Hotel and Le Telfair Golf & Spa

• 9-hole: Maritim Hotel & others

These hotels have a club house with practice nets and a store room for guests' golf equipment. Pros attend to clients' needs and are available for private lessons. Practice balls, clubs and trolleys are on hire at the club house.

The Gymkhana Club in Vacoas is the only private club to have a 18-hole golf course. Visitors may have temporary access to the golf course by paying an admission fee.
